When Was It Started?
The American Communication Network (ACN) was founded in 1993, by a team of four entrepreneurs: Mike Cupisz, Tony Cupisz, Robert Stevanovski, and Greg Provenzano. Before founding ACN, the four young entrepreneurs had found success in the direct sales niche after multiple combined years of experience in the space.
The company is headquartered in Concord North Carolina, and operates in over 27 countries. Today, ACN is considered the world’s leading international telecommunication service distributor.
What is ACN All About?
The American communication Network is a company that provides telecommunication, merchant, energy, payments, home security, and other services through a network of independent sellers known as Independent Business Owners (IBO).
There are multiple ways to make money with ACN as an Independent Business Owner, and we will discuss these options in the sections that follow. However typically speaking, the ACN opportunity would be considered an MLM program, given it’s description.
What Does It Cost to Join ACN?
If you want to become an IBO with ACN, you will first have to complete the company’s business owner agreement form. You must then pay a $499 application fee, which is basically your business startup fee. And the application fee needs to be submitted together with the letter of intent.
Once you’ve become a full-fledged ACN IBO, you can start selling the company’s services through your website. You must also keep in mind that you are not an employee of ACN, but rather an independent contractor or what they call an Independent Business Owner.
What Services Does ACN Offer?
ACN offers two classes of services: residential and business services. This section will discuss the various services under each class.
Residential Services
This is the package of services offered on a retail basis to individual household consumers. The services are as follows:
- Home phone services: Offers unlimited home phone calls to over 80 mobile and landline destinations. This service is priced at $24.99/month.
- High-Speed Internet: Offers fast internet in CenturyLink, Verizon, AT&T, AND Frontier territories. The prices range between $20 and $100 per month, depending on the services provider.

This service package offers everything that’s offered in the residential service package, along with the following additional services:
Anovia Payment and Processing
This package offers payment and debit/credit card processing via Anovia. The service covers credit, gift cards, debit, e-commerce, e-check payments and processing. There are three service options:

How To Make Money With ACN: How Much Money Can You Make?
This is probably the most important section of this ACN review. The company’s compensation plan offers three primary ways to make money.
Personal Residentials
This compensation option is basically a percentage of the total monthly billings of your direct customers. ACN pays 2-8% of the monthly bills generated by customers that you have directed to do business with the company.
If you have for example, a total of 40 direct clients and they end up spending a total of $1,000 on ACN services in a given month, you will get 2% of that $1,000. That means that your residual income for that month will be $20.
Team Residuals
This is the compensation you’ll receive based on recruits done by people in your downline. ACN’s Multi-Level Marketing program has 7 levels. Your direct recruits will be at your level one, their recruits at level 2, and so forth through level seven. You will get 0.25% of the income generated on levels 2-5 on your downline, 1% on level 6, and $6 on level 7.
Customer Acquisition Bonuses
This is a one-time bonus that’s paid as upfront bonus money whenever you recruit a new customer to ACN. If you help a personal sponsor advance to a team trainer, you will receive a $90-$2754 bonus depending on your ACN leadership rank.
For you to become a team trainer, your sponsor must first enroll with ACN for $499 and recruit 6-8 customers within a specified timeframe.

Our Conclusion For ACN:
The American Communication Network (ACN) is a legit company that focuses on the distribution of telecommunication, energy, merchant, payment processing, home security, and a host of other services via a multi-level marketing program. It costs $499 to join the company as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and there are many ways to make money with the program.
There have been allegations that ACN is a pyramid scheme but that’s not true. Since the company offers actual products and services as one of its revenue streams, it does not count as a pyramid scheme. However, the potential earnings are very low, and you will have to work your butt off to earn them. For a better return on your money, time, and energy investment, you should consider alternative legit online job opportunities that we have reviewed here at LegitWorkOnlineForReal.
