Let’s face it. If you’ve been reading about legitimate working at home opportunities you may have already heard about LiveOps. Is LiveOps a scam? Let’s take a closer look.
Legit OR Scam | SEVEN Reasons it Might Be Worth Looking Into LiveOps
There are tons of legitimate ways to make money online by delving into Affiliate Marketeing and MLM Opportunities. However, MLM or Affiliate Marketing may not be your cup of tea – especially if you are not technically savvy. If this is the case, you might want to consider LiveOps to generate a full-time stream of income or simply supplement the one you currently have. It can be a less complicated remote work opportunity to make money online. And the cool thing about LiveOps is that they’re open 24/7, 365 days a year – so you can hop online and take calls at your heart’s desire.
By the way, I can’t mention LiveOps without mentioning Alorica at Home (same kind of thing). Be sure to read more about Alorica at Home (another online customer service rep kind of job.)
That said, working as an independent contractor with Liveops is certainly legit but some of the ways they expect you to “upsell” to the customers may not be. Read on.
Pro’s
1. You can pick your own hours. Literally. And that’s the biggest pro of all. Having that kind of flexibility is simply hard to come by.
2. You get to work in the comfort of your own home!
3. There are many non-sales related lines to work for.
4. You can work for more than just one line.
5. You are not an employee rather an independent contractor.
6. Scripts are provided that will pop up on the screen for you to read to the client, making it easy to know what to say.
7. Earn up to $20 hourly depending on call volume and line.
Con’s
1. No calls, no pay.
2. Sometimes call volume is slow. Keep in mind, though, this will average out when other times call volume is pretty busy.
3. Upsells and Cross-selling is required when working the Direct Response Line.
4. There are third party offers you are required to push related to the Direct Response Line.
5. Unpaid Training. Yes, I said, “unpaid”. This is a bummer. But, in my opinion it is worth the time because the more training, the more calls. The more calls, the more pay.
Is LiveOps Worth it?
It can be worth it to check out this company. Beware, though. Please let me explain. Have you ever called a number from your TV screen or radio dial wanting to snatch up the latest Guthy-Renker anti-aging skin or acne treatment? And then only to find out, when you call, the agent keeps you on the line for what seems like all day asking you repeatedly if you want to include a lot more products than what you intended. Chances are you spoke with a LiveOps agent. And if you ended up purchasing the product, little did you know that the end of your 20-minute call signed you and your credit card up for an automated once a month delivery of the product.
Some agents prefer the Direct Response line because it can be the most lucrative due to the commissions you earn with each upsell. If you are not a sales person, though, stay away from the Direct Response line. It’s not fun for customers, and it’s not worth the hassle for most agents. Many of the agents end up quitting because of this line without realizing how to pick the proper lines to take calls for.
Legit LiveOps Call Types
Fortunately, LiveOps offers its work at home agents a vast variety of call “lines”, other than the dreaded sales-type calls with Direct Response. Whew! This is where the good stuff comes in. If you are patient and know exactly which line to go for, you can earn anywhere from $8 to $20 per hour, taking calls you will be happy with in your own home while working online as a customer service rep.
Let’s take a peek at some of the legitimate, fun and rewarding online job opportunities LiveOps has to offer.
· Allstate Roadside Assistance
· AAA Accident Information Collection
· Disaster Recovery (Red Cross)
· Pledge Drives and Telethons
· Pizza Hut Orders
· ProFlowers (Seasonal)
· Insurance Claims (For Licensed and Non-Licensed Agents)
· Public Partnerships
· And More
Each of these call lines has its own set of weekly hour requirements. Requirements such 10 hours per week answering calls on a particular line. The good news is that you can set your own hours. And if you are meeting the call requirements set by each client, the line will continue to remain on your schedule.
Liveops Pay | Let’s Break it Down
You will earn .25 per talk minute. Plain and simple. That sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? It’s not, really. Making extra money online with LiveOps can be achieved by picking the best lines with the best call volume allowing you to earn anywhere from $8 to $20 hourly. Not bad working from your own home in your comfy PJ’s, huh?

And More…
This truly is a legit way of making money from home! So often I will see articles that are just giving ideas of ways to make money (Make crafts and sell on etsy, buy at auction and sell on eBay), but not in this case. Thank you for being true to your website and providing real “at-home” options.
I also liked the pro’s and con’s part – and to be honest, as much as I like internet marketing (personally) number 3. “Upsells and Cross-selling is required when working the Direct Response Line.” just puts me in a place of saying no. I am not a salesman by nature – so the idea of it being generated around an upsell would be difficult for me. Not for everyone – just my personal opinion.
That doesn’t take away from the legitimacy that you give LiveOps and again, I truly appreciate you giving REAL options for readers like me!
Be blessed and looking forward to more!
